High-powered singleton Jane Berry is focused on the important things in life, such as advancing her career and spending a bundle on fashionable shoes. Nancy McKeon (Lifetime's ) stars as Jane Berry, a Manhattan advertising executive, in this made-for-cable twist on . Jane has a sleek sports car and a fabulous view of the city, but free time is in short supply. She also has a boyfriend, but the equally career-driven Richard isn't the "settling down" type. Her divorced mother, Frederica ('s Dixie Carter), likes to give her a hard time, while her bookstore manager father, George ('s Paul Dooley), worries she works too hard. When Jane gets into a car accident on Christmas Eve, she wakes to find that she's become a stay-at-home Connecticut mom with a loving husband, Sam (Colin Firth look-alike Steven Eckholdt), and two kids. Jane explains that they have her confused with someone else, but it's actually 10 years into the future. With no way to return to the past, she goes with the flow, which means cooking, ice-skating, and feeding the homeless. Turns out she likes Sam, though she doesn't like it when Frederica accuses her of acting like "the old Jane." When Sam says he loves the old Jane as much as the new one, she knows she'll be fine no matter what happens next. Best known for independent features, like , director Maggie Greenwald transitions to the small screen with relative ease, and McKeon and Eckholdt make for a charming couple.
